Works with Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Nothing to install.
A phone with Gnap open on a recipe: nutrition values, ingredients with amounts in grams, and the method. Around it, four panels: the recipe just imported from a Reel, a 40 minute timer taken from the step, a cup of flour turned into 125 grams, and the shopping list for two recipes

How it works

From video to recipe. In three simple steps.

1

Share the video

From Instagram, TikTok or YouTube straight to Gnap.

Share the video with Gnap or paste the link. We'll take care of the rest.

2

Gnap does the work

From the words in the video to a recipe ready to cook.

Gnap transcribes the audio, reads the description and pulls out the ingredients, amounts and method.

3

Save it. And find it whenever you like.

Your recipe, finally in the right place.

All your recipes end up in your personal cookbook, organised and easy to search.

Not an archive: a cookbook that cooks with you

The words and numbers in these panels are the ones the app really uses: a cup of flour really does make 125 g.

Found a recipe?
Save it in one tap.

Gnap listens to the audio and reads the post's description to piece together the ingredients, amounts and method. Fewer videos to rewatch. More recipes to cook.

One recipe. Six languages.

Watch a recipe in Spanish, French or Italian and save it in the language you prefer. Gnap translates and organises everything automatically.

You'll finally find that recipe again.

Search by ingredient, category or tag and find what you saved straight away. Even when all you remember is “that recipe with peaches”.

From recipes to a shopping list.
Automatically.

Add the ingredients from one or more recipes and Gnap gathers them into a single list. If the same ingredient appears more than once, the amounts are added together.

The recipe you need, right on WhatsApp.

In one tap you can send the full recipe or the shopping list to anyone you like. Perfect for cooking together or sending someone to do the shopping.

Gnap's Share menu open on the shopping list, with five items to buy: Share, Copy text, WhatsApp highlighted, Email and Print or save as PDF

Your recipe.
A PDF ready to print.

A clean version with no distractions, to print, save or share. Perfect for keeping in the kitchen.

From “a cup” to grams.
Automatically.

Gnap converts amounts into the units that are most practical for you. Even 350°F becomes 180°C.

The switch between metric and imperial, and the video's amounts converted: 1 cup of flour becomes 125 g, 1 cup of sugar 200 g, half a cup of butter 115 g, and 350 °F becomes 180 °C

Cook without going back to the video.

One step at a time, large and easy to read. And when the recipe has a cooking time, Gnap sets up the timer automatically.

Simple to use. Transparent about how it works.

Gnap does the work. You always have the final say.

Gnap uses AI to turn videos into structured recipes. The result may occasionally contain inaccuracies, so the link to the original video always stays in the recipe, letting you quickly check ingredients, amounts and times.

Nutrition values, as a guide.

Calories, protein, carbs and fat are estimates worked out from the recipe's ingredients. They are meant as a practical guide, not a replacement for a nutritionist's advice. For allergens, always check the original recipe.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with Instagram, TikTok and YouTube?Yes. The post needs to be public: ones visible only to signed-in users cannot be read. When that happens you can paste the recipe text yourself and Gnap will sort it out.
What happens when I run out of imports? You don't lose anything: every recipe you've saved stays, and you can keep searching, cooking and adding them to your shopping list. On the Free plan you get 20 imports in total, and they don't top up: once they're used, importing more takes Plus. With Plus you get 30 a month: if you use them up, the count starts again on the first of the next month. Either way, Gnap tells you before an import starts, not halfway through.
Can I cancel my subscription whenever I like?Yes, at any time, with no strings attached. In the settings, on your plan, tap “Cancel plan” and confirm: the subscription won't renew and you won't be charged again. Plus features stay active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then you're back on Free: your recipes stay saved.
What happens to my recipes if I switch from Plus to Free? They all stay saved: none are deleted. On Free you can use the first 20, in the order you saved them, hand-written ones included; the others stay locked and come back if you return to Plus. Once you've had Plus, the Free plan no longer includes imports. Without Plus you can't print to PDF and nutrition values are hidden: they stay saved and reappear if you return to Plus.
Do I need to install anything? No. Gnap runs in your browser, and you can add it to your phone's home screen like a normal app if you want.
Are my recipes private?Yes. Everyone has their own cookbook, and nobody else can see it.
Can I delete everything?Yes, in two taps, from the settings. It really is deleted, not hidden.
